The Bark House

Nestled deep in the forest, The Bark House takes root between two black volumes inspired by Nordic cabins, joined by a glass walkway. Its design follows the land’s natural slope, creating a direct connection with the woods from every level. The dark vertical cladding contrasts with pale wood inserts, evoking tree bark and the tender core it protects.

Inside, the atmosphere is soft and serene, bathed in natural light. Wood is everywhere—in the cabinetry, built-ins, ceilings, and screens—bringing warmth and texture to each space. Every floor reveals a distinct world, shaped by the people who live there. It’s an intimate, cocoon-like retreat where design steps back to let nature in.
