Architecture et design

Once a typical, dark, inward-facing wooden cabin, this building has been completely transformed into a bold, modern, light-filled lake house.

The round-log walls gave way to clean lines, a two-story glass façade, and an interior bathed in natural light. The rustic heart of the home—the brick fireplace—was preserved, but everything around it was opened up, brightened, and refined. The old varnished floors were replaced with polished concrete on the main level and light oak upstairs. A spiral staircase and suspended fireplace now bring fresh energy to the central living space.

Ceilings were whitewashed, beams left raw, and the kitchen redesigned in rich, dark tones. The once-cramped, outdated bathrooms were turned into minimalist, mineral-inspired retreats, where every material stands out.

The cabin kept its soul, while becoming something distinctly contemporary—a home connected to the lake, to the light, and to its time.
